Max meets his new friend for the first time...

Hospital rules prevented Max from meeting Madison in the hospital. So, tonight we headed over to the DeNicola household with baked ziti and garlic rolls so the kiddo's could meet. I'm pretty sure they had no idea what was going on.

Rain forest Jumparoo

Max loves being in a upright position and looking around. He's also a big fan of lights and music. So in honor of his 3 month birthday I bought him the rainforest jumparoo. While he hasn't told me so, I think he likes it.

Bath Time Fun

Today we decided to give Max a shampoo wig. I think this is a preview of what he'll look like when he has a head full of blonde hair.

The World Around Me When I Was Born

I had bought the traditional baby book, but I haven't been keeping up with it all. Plus I realized, having the baby blog is much cooler than the old school baby books. So I decided to steal some of the ideas from the baby book and put them here on the blog. I know this is a little late, but here's what things were like when Max was born.

Dog Park Disaster

It was pretty cold this morning, but we decided to bundle up and head to the dog park anyway. Everyone keeps commenting that Mook is getting chunky so we are trying to get him some exercise. Max wore his fleece pj's and VT hat. He just looked adorable. We had to do a little off roading in the stroller because some people wouldn't clear the walk way so I could get through. A couple of minutes later we kept smelling poo and decided it was time to leave. We put Max in the car and when I went to fold up the stroller I realized that during our off road adventure I drove the stroller through poo. Gross! I cleaned as much as I could before putting in the car and then throughly washed it when we got home. I'm still not sure I'm ever going to feel the same way about the stroller again.

A Visit from Betsey & Dennis

My good friend Betsey & her boyfriend, Dennis, flew down from Chicago a few days earlier to meet & hang out with Max before leaving on a cruise. While they were here, my baby sling came. It was slightly complicated. It took both Betsey & me to figure out how it worked, but we finally got it. It's really comfortable and it seems like Max liked it.

A Lot of First Times Occurred Tonight

Our friend Adam got promoted this week so everyone got together after work for a happy hour to celebrate. Mike & I both wanted to go, but didn't want to be the parents with the baby in the bar. We were able to get everyone to agree to sit outside so we got to be the parents just sitting out side enjoying the weather instead :) We stayed longer than expected so I had to give Max his 6 o'clock bottle while sitting outside. He typically freaks out a bit during the burping portion of the feeding so I was bit nervous. To my surprise, he was perfect. First feeding in public was a success.
Then we headed to the pizza place across the street for dinner. Max was due for a diaper change so together we conquered our first diaper change in public. Luckily it was just pee so it wasn't too bad. We'd never gone to dinner with him before, but he was a champ. He just slept the entire time.

Playing Can Be So Exhausting

Today, Max started playing with his teddy bear. He would smile when I had the teddy bear kiss him. When it was his turn to hold him, he continuously tried to keep the little bears nose. We were only about 15 minutes in and he passed out snuggled up with the bear.
