Gate

While Max hasn't mastered the typical crawling technique, he has mastered his own method of movement and boy is he fast. This past weekend was quiet the challenge. He was playing with some toys in the family room while I went to put some clothes in the washer. When I came back, he had crawled over to Mook's water bowl and dumped the entire thing on himself. This lead to a soaked and crying baby, wet floor, and ultimately the ordering of a gate. Max cried the entire time I was installing the gate. Now he just scratches as the gate trying to figure out a way to escape.

Max has a new friend

Tonight we had some friends over for pizza. Josh, Kerry, and Emmy are moving down from Atlanta. We can't wait until they are here permanently and we get to hang out regularly. Emmy & Max really seemed to get a long. Pretty soon they will be adding another addition to family!

Toys from Grandma Sandy

Posted by Picasa

Grandma Sandy had her suitcase packed with new toys and clothes for Max. The pj's will come in handy soon as he's just about to bust out of the 12 months bcs his legs are too long. Max doesn't really realize how awesome the clothes are (but mommy does); however, he DOES realize how awesome the toys are!

A Visit from Grandma Sandy

Grandma Sandy came down to visit for 5 days. Her and Max developed quite a bond. They played, snuggled, sang, walked, crawled...you name it, they did it. They both can't wait to see each other again.

9 Months Old

Posted by Picasa

Time is continuing to fly by. In the blink of an eye, 9 of the best months of my life have passed by. We are so blessed to have this perfect little man in our lives. I can't believe we're going to start planning his first birthday soon.

Other than moving to a convertible car seat, he's up to the same stuff he was last month. He's just perfecting those skills. His little arms aren't strong enough to hold up him up yet so he's still doing the army crawl. I have a feeling he might just skip crawling and go straight to walking. He loves walking around in his walker and he jumps forever in his jumparoo. He must do at least 200 squats a day which have led to some crazy muscular baby legs.

We had his 9 month check up. We are going to start feeding him 3 solids a day now. The doctor said that we are actually feeding him a lot of formula compared to other babies his age so I guess his just genetically a twig!

Stats:
Height = 30 inches (93rd percentile)
Weight = 18.10 pounds (20th percentile)

Sleeping Pics

Max loves sleeping. He can sleep with a pillow, without a pillow, with a blanket, without a blanket, in the carseat, legs part, etc. Whatever, he's down for sleeping.

New Eating Developments

While visiting our family last week, Max's aunt Jenn gave me a great idea - start using the mesh feeder! Since we've been back we've tried apples and bananas and did OK with each of them. Then today we tried Nectarines and Max just loved it. He ate the whole thing! I've learned that the best way to eat out of the mesh feeder is shirt off :)

Max is also holding his own bottle which has led to him feeding himself (supervised of course).

Laundry Time

I always do laundry on Sunday's and every Sunday as I fold the laundry Max army crawls over and unfolds everything. Today we decided to try something new that would still be entertaining for Max. I put him in the basket while I folded the clothes and he loved it. I loved it because it kept him entertained and away from the folded clothes.
