Flamingo Gardens

Ben, Jenn, Owen & Vivi came down for a late Christmas celebration. Today, we headed out to Flamingo Gardens to enjoy the day. We picked up some subway for lunch and picnicked in front of the park. Afterwards we headed in to see all the animals.

 

Today was one of those I told you so days. My mom bought Max the wagon in the pictures above. She kept telling me to watch the seatbelt, it seemed loose, bla bla bla. She's always worrying about something :) Then today we are heading to the gardens and Mike decides to wear his awesome camo pants and just had to bring his leatherman because you never know what we could run into in the gardens. I made fun of this decision of course. As we are about half way through the gardens the seatbelt brakes. Mike was able to fix it with the leatherman. Who knew my mom would be right and Mike's leatherman would come in handy all in one day.

Get down careful

Max loves being on the couch. Get on the couch. Get off the couch. Repeat. Over and over again. I figured if was going to do it we needed an alternative way to get down. Coming down head first just wasn't working for me.

2012?!?! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Mike has been out of town visiting his friend Andy so Max and I were solo for New Years Eve. I decided against going anywhere because I didn't want to be driving around with him in the car when there are a bunch of drunks on the road. So I decided to make a nice dinner (Balsamic chicken with roasted okra, squash, and zucchini) and just hang out at home. Max was not a fan of dinner. Instead he just ended up eating frozen peas. Fail...



This morning Max woke up extremely early so we took a quick nap before heading out to have lunch with Jenn & Adam. Max loves purses for some weird reason so Adam thought it would be funny to have him pose for a picture.



When we got home Max went down for another nap. After he was all rested, it was so beautiful outside that we just had to go out and play. First we drove around in his jeep (thanks Adam & Jenn). He beeped the horn around the entire neighborhood.



Then we headed to the backyard to get our swing on. The neighbor girls were outside in their backyard playing t-ball and Max was clapping for them each time they hit the ball. Then they decided to pick some flowers for him. At first he was hesitant of this flower thing and then within seconds, like most things, he was trying to put it in his mouth.
