Feelin the beat

Max LOVES music. No matter where we are or what we are doing if a good song comes on, he stops, and starts busting a move. Even we he's strapped in as tight as can be in his car seat he still finds a way to show he's feelin the beat...

Daddy Day Care

Aunt Susie has been out the last 2 days so Mike has been watching Max.

Yesterday Mike packed us lunch and met me at a park down the street from my work. The 3 of us had a quick picnic and then played on the swings. After about an hour I headed back to work and the boys headed home. Max took a 4 hour nap and I didn't mind being at work too much since I got to see them in the middle of the day which is rare. I forgot to snap some pics while we were there, but I wanted to mention how awesome it was :)

This morning Mike & Max went exploring at Target and found this awesome basketball hoop:

All the playing has tired him out so he's taking a quick nap before I take him to his 15 month check up and Mike tries to get some work done.

Can you believe we're going to a 15 MONTH check up?!?!

15 Month Stats

Our doctor's visit today was a success. Typically we have appointments near the end of the day and we are there forever. Today, I made an earlier appointment and we were in and out in about 45 minutes.

Max was afraid of the doctor which made the exam a little tough, but once completed she said "he's perfect."

Stats:
Weight - 22.14 pounds (25th %)
Height - 31.5 inches (60th %)
Head - 49 cm (90th %) - I'm concerned he has a big head and Mike says "that's why he's so smart" :)

I'm still amazed that he is only in the 25th percentile for weight. He eats more in a day than I do and I know I'm not in the 25th percentile for weight.

Here's what he's been up to lately:
- walking everywhere, even starting to "run"
- doesn't hate getting his diaper changed so much anymore
- says "mama" "dada" "this" "kie" (mookie) "yes" a version of "no" and something other stuff which I think might be in Chinese
- follows commands / understands what we say to him
- only drinks from sippy cups - no more bottles - thanks cousin Vivi :)
- finally pets Mookie nicely
- cries if we leave the room
- laughs hysterically every time he burps or passes gas
- dances
- will sit down and watch an entire episode of the voice with mommy and when it's someone he likes he claps
- pulls mommy's hair and daddy's leg hair

Pretty much, he's overall awesome.

Daddy's New Guitar

Mike got a new guitar so we spent the majority of this afternoon listening to him play. Max LOVED the song and daddy's singing. So cute :)

Snuggling

Typically Max is running around like a crazy man. Getting into everything. Yelling about something.
Today was different. He just wanted to snuggled all day. I liked today :)

Picking up Poo

Max loves copying anything that we do. Today while at the park, he took a poo bag from the basket under the stroller and then walked around touching the ground. He doesn't quiet understand what we do when we "touch" the ground, but it was pretty funny to watch.

Flamingo Gardens

Ben, Jenn, Owen & Vivi came down for a late Christmas celebration. Today, we headed out to Flamingo Gardens to enjoy the day. We picked up some subway for lunch and picnicked in front of the park. Afterwards we headed in to see all the animals.

Today was one of those I told you so days. My mom bought Max the wagon in the pictures above. She kept telling me to watch the seatbelt, it seemed loose, bla bla bla. She's always worrying about something :) Then today we are heading to the gardens and Mike decides to wear his awesome camo pants and just had to bring his leatherman because you never know what we could run into in the gardens. I made fun of this decision of course. As we are about half way through the gardens the seatbelt brakes. Mike was able to fix it with the leatherman. Who knew my mom would be right and Mike's leatherman would come in handy all in one day.
